I recently sent a couple of Tulsi Town Hall videos to an ex-Butler devotee. This was the reaction:

I was astonished to see how many mannerisms Tulsi has picked up from Butler. Her pauses, way of speaking, and many of her facial expressions are probably unconscious -- but totally Siddha-- really spooky. She talks more like him than her Mom and Dad. Look at some of the SOI stuff online – I still get PTSD symptoms when I watch him --
Siddha [Butler] used to sometimes get this look in his eyes when he looked at us when he was pleased – His eyes literally sparkled -- he would smile, closed lips, tilt his head, and get this compassionate look on his face like looking at children. It was very condescending, but at the time he looked like the compassionate Buddha. A dewy-eyed look. It was a look like he was thinking, “These poor deluded souls struggling on the wheel of birth and death… I alone can save…” It was a very charismatic look. Katyayani used to get this same look when she gave talks.
In one of the Town Hall videos, Tulsi has this same look! Damn – there is no doubt that Butler has her under his thumb. He always said that he wanted to make one of his devotees President.
We used to make fun of ISKCON followers who would imitate AC Bhaktivedanta. A guy from Brooklyn suddenly getting an Indian accent or a healthy dude needing a cane and walking like Prabhupad. Now I see Tulsi and a couple of other people on YouTube picking up Siddha mannerisms.
