ANOTHER TESTIMONIAL OF BEING DELUDED BY BUTLER AND WAISTING YEARS OF ONES PRECIOUS LIFE THINKING HE WAS A SAINT ...AND DISCOVERING HE HIS A FALSE GURU
BTW, one exer recently told me that she really didn't know how she came to leave the cult besides a personal tragedy. Her husband left her for another woman in the cult. She said that while she was working full time for Butler on one of his projects 10 - 15 hours a day, that she would read "The Little Flowers of Saint Francis" before she went to sleep. "First printed in 1476, this collection of stories, or "little flowers," chronicles Saint Francis of Assisi's journeys, activities, and miracles. Told in brief anecdotes of charming simplicity, the stories include Saint Francis' sermon to the birds, his taming of the savage wolf of Gubbio, his conversion of the Sultan of Babylon, and his miraculous healing of a leper." (Amazon.com description)
Having heard that Sudama Vipra Swami was fond of the writings of Shrila Bhaktivinode Thakur, she also secretly procured copies of his books and read them. His writings "had heart", she said. At the time NO ONE was allowed to read ANY books published by ISKCON after Bhaktivedanta's death, nor any books published by the Gaudiya Math in India. But she found a lot of warmth and spiritual comfort and hope in these two books that motivated her to continue working for "Siddha". She told me that at the time she was already noticing things in her guru that were "off" but pushed the thoughts aside. When reading those books she imagined Jagged Prabhufraud Butler to be on the same level and caliber as Saint Francis or Bhaktivinode.
She was sleeping on cardboard covered wooden pallets at the time. She owned only two outfits and read by a candle in a gallon jar. In her mind, she was living a spiritual life like Clare of Assisi. So strong was her dedication and love for Chris Butler that she gave up many opportunities in life to serve him. She still works hard, but in a profession that actually helps people. She regrets the many years wasted in the service of CHRIS BUTLER
