BREAKING: Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, a leader of the Democratic National Committee, announced Sunday she is stepping down from her post to endorse Bernie Sanders for president.

Readers, this looks like a well timed exit.

Had Tulsi run re-election for Hawaii's District Two (which includes blood stained Kailua Bay), Tulsi would've faced questions about Sri Shim and why she
an entire month after Shri Shim's death and the shoddy response by law enforcement.

Who might have appeared at Re-elect Tulsi campaign events?

Protestors with their mouths X'd shut with duct tape carrying WHO LET THE BOAT OUT? signs.

Street theatre. Replicas of the Zodiac Boat.

Corboy wonders whether Tulsi was advised to sidestep all this, the way girls learn to avoid a dating guys who are known to be too demanding.

Tulsi wont have to worry about a bad date at the District 2 November 2016 prom. She'll sidestep the media with prying questions and wont have to risk facing members of Shri Shim's family.

Even if Bernie Sanders fails to get the nomination or is defeated in the final election, Tulsi can claim the Sanders campaign as another bullet point on her resume.

By November Tulsi the Silent will be several news cycles removed from Shri Shim's death.

After the outrage around Sri Shim's death dies down (even grieving families become exhausted, demoralized and usually "move on"), then Butler and the Gabbards can dust Tulsi off and put her back on the chessboard of American electoral politics.

Or perhaps find another chessboard altogether.
