Re: "Jesus Christians,""cult", Dave McKay, the "Truth Believers"

Today Dave McKay posted his first public communique in over a year, to his forum.

We are watching you, Dave. You thought that the coast was clear, but it's not.

The full text of the communique follows.

"It's been a long time since I have given very much of an update about Cherry, me, and the former Jesus Christians. Apparently there is a lot of controversy over at Wikipedia about the Jesus Christians at the moment, stirred up mostly by Susan Gianstefani, an obsessively disgruntled ex-member of the JCs, who has established herself as an editor for Wikipedia, for the express purpose of vandalising the Jesus Christians web site. She has used a few identities but is presently operating as Wikipegger.

Anyway, what is really funny about it all is that they are arguing back and forth over whether the YouTube channel Endtime Survivors is actually the Jesus Christians. In a way it's understandable, but what amazes me is that apparently no one over there has ever thought to just ask me. Okay, I could lie and not tell them the truth, or I could just choose not to answer. But for any researcher, that is the first place you start in researching. Not so Wikipedia. I am apparently considered the absolute most unreliable source for anything. Why? Because, as the co-founder of the Jesus Christians, I am biased. Never mind that there might be a tiny bit of bias in Wikipegger, as a disgruntled ex-member, who started by going through and inserting her name everywhere she could, in an effort to establish herself as the true voice of the Jesus Christians these days. She started her own web site, "Make It Real" and announced that it was the U.K. voice of the Jesus Christians.

Here's something particularly amazing: She edited the Jesus Christian entry on Wikipedia to say that she and Make It Real are the Jesus Christians now, and then forgot to delete it when she reversed strategies and decided to "out" all the other former Jesus Christians, stating that they never disbanded, and that Endtime Survivors is the real name for the same organisation now.

What is rather obvious to anyone who knows us, is that a lot of ex-Jcs contribute to that YouTube channel, including myself. I'm not sure who actually owns the channel, as I don't moderate it, and haven't contributed to it for many months. I do, however, contribute to the Endtime Survivors website forum from time to time. So, what can we make of that? Well, I'll tell you what Wikipedia can make of it. Everything I just said must not be true, because I'm biased! Seriously, if I say it, by their reasoning, it has to be a lie. And so the "truth"becomes more and more complicated as they continue to trust Wikipegger. Why do they trust Wikipegger? Because she is NOT a JC... well, unless you read her own entry, which says that she is. Oh yeah, and if you dare to say that Wikipegger is Susan Gianstefani on their talk pages, then you get banned for "outing" an editor.

Can you imagine a reputable academic publication (like a real encyclopaedia) operating on the premise that their editors maintain anonymity to protect them from having to answer for false and misleading information? Seriously. That is how it works over there.

Anyway, for the record, membership in the real Jcs continues to stand at two: Cherry and me. Not that former JCs are dead. Just that they are operating independently. And yes, a lot of them have (along with quite a few others who have no connection with the Jcs) contributed to Endtime Survivors.

So let's see what Wikipedia does with this official statement. Since I'm not allowed to talk to them or any of their editors anywhere else! lol"
