these attacks on liberal intellectuals are a repeated theme from him now. seven or eight years ago he was teaching that dharma can have critical thinking and educated discussion. now he's saying protrump things and scorning liberals. he is being influenced by some far right wingers. probably the trungpa people who believed trungpas idea that we need a dharma dictator. the regular attack on liberal thinking is worrisome, but not as worrisome as his failure to hold dharma teachers to account for their samaya breaking. he does say in the article that dharma teachers who break samaya need not be obeyed, but then he dismisses that raping women is a breach of samaya. that says it all.
